Beyond The Border: Caitlin Dickerson

As a young journalism student myself. I am always eager to learn more about this very competitive field and grow my connections. Every time I have the opportunity to meet a professional reporter or journalist, I take it without second thoughts. During my time in Global Learning program, I have had the opportunity to hear more about Caitlin Dickerson's journey as a New York Times journalist. She was one of the very first people I met that works for this amazing company. Hearing her speak about how she got to where she is now and the tips she gives young students really stuck with me. It reminded me that every expert/professional was once a beginner. It was crazy to think that one upon a time, she was just like me: a young student with big dreams to change the world.
